It starred Elizabeth Montgomery, who starred in the series about a young woman who is turned into a mortal by her husband while she is sleeping after seeing the true form of an insect while she's dreaming. Twenty years later, when Samantha has married her handsome widower, Darrin Stephens, they are living in New York City with their nine-year-old daughter Dixie. Immediately upon moving in to their new home on Heathcote Drive (Darrin's childhood residence), it seems like everything about this house is too good to be true. As the couple make the discovery that their house is haunted by an evil spirit, they must work together to get rid of the spirit and stop it from killing Darrin. In October 2015, it was announced that a reboot of Bewitched is in the works at ABC. The reboot will be a modern re-imagining of the original sitcom and will feature a black lead actress. The series was broadcast on Sky One in the UK from May 2, 2003 to August 27, 2005 and on TV3 Ireland from September 23, 2005 to September 18, 2006. Most episodes were repeated on daily basis. It also aired in Australia on Seven Network station pty in 2006 and 2007 with repeats occurring through 2010. In 2015 it began airing again on 7TWO with repeats occurring through 2016. From 2016 it became available for streaming on iview (Australian Broadcasting Corporation). Between April and December 1989 there were 19 episodes aired on the Australian free-to-air television network, ABC. Beginning in March 1961 and running through 1961 (and also in 1963), NBC aired a half-hour version of "Bewitched" as part of its The Best of Carson reruns. The show was repeated from April 23 to November 21, 1967 three times a day . In August 1979, NBC broadcast the complete series with the exception of the final two episodes. This rerun lasted until September 1982 and was seen until December 1985 on local stations such as KNME and WKRC Cincinnati via satellite broadcast. These were broadcast late at night to avoid competition with other shows that had already begun. The original show aired on Nick at Nite from 1989 to 1991, from 1993 to 1995, from 1998 to 2000, and from 2002 to 2010. Nick at Nite reran the episodes with a TV-PG rating as part of its "The '60s Are All That" block until August 25, 2013. Nick also aired a special marathon of the show on July 31, 2013. Comedy Central began a run of the series starting on February 26, 2014 as part of its The Comedy Network-branded "Primetime Comedy Block".
